Rory Furey-King (she/they) is a biracial and queer addict of the Real Housewives. She is also an actor.

Born and bred in the great state of New Jersey, Rory started dancing at age 2 and began Musical Theater soon after. Her theater geekness solidified when she met other weirdos at the Paper Mill Playhouse. The year was 2008, a shining year for most. Mamma Mia! the movie, Legally Blonde: the Musical- the Search for Elle Woods, Legally Brown- the Search for the Next Piragua Guy, HSM3, Glee was soon to come...and so was the Wicked movie, we were told. It was also the year Rory first witnessed SNL with the first Sarah Palin sketch. Her mind was blown. There she found an idol and love of her life, Tina Fey, and the following summer Rory began improv, a love stupider than any other. [2008 was also an historic American year where the world changed for good: The Real Housewives of New York premiered. A gift Rory wouldn’t realize for another 13 years.]

After graduating from Montclair High, Rory moved to London to study Musical Theater at the prestigious ArtsEd, where she received a BA (HONS) in Musical Theater and a fuck-ton of trauma. Jokesssss. Rory's first job out of drama school was Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again [2008 full circle?]. She then worked with Chrissi Cartwright under Dame Gillian Lynne on the CATS International Tour (dir. Trevor Nunn) as Bombalurina before originating the role of “Jean" with Spitlip in Operation Mincemeat Off-West End. Operation Mincemeat won the Olivier for Best New Musical in 2023. After 5 years in London, Rory moved to Chicago to begin her comedy journey at iO and the Second City, where she booked School Girls; or the African Mean Girls Play at The Goodman Theatre. 2 days into previews, the cast was informed that the show would be closing for maybe a couple weeks? For “coronavirus???” And she took it personally lmaooo.

One quarter life crisis later, Rory moved to Brooklyn, wrote a dramedy pilot, and booked the National Tour of Legally Blonde (a real 2008 full circle.) Most importantly, she found The Countess, Bethany, Ramona, Sonja and Dorinda all while she “is in Brooklyn, trying to survive in this economy.”
